The regulations state that those companies affected are required to submit notice of compliance by 5th December 2015. Recognising this, the Environment Agency have announced that enforcement action “will not normally be taken” against organisations that notify compliance by 29th January 2016, provided that those companies notify the Environment Agency by 5th December 2015 of when they expect to comply. As approved lead assessors we have been actively involved in assisting companies required to comply meet their obligations. While the deadline for submission of compliance has now passed we are still able to assist those organisations that have as yet not carried out an energy assessment or require further assistance to meet their obligations. As the scheme is on a four year rolling basis the next compliance date is 2019 and we would be delighted to discuss with you how we can ensure that your business continues to meet its compliance obligations as it can take many months to gather the evidence for compliance.
